I’m thinking of buying a pair, do you believe the fabric material is strong enough for attic work? And say I get caught on a nail strong enough to take a tug without ripping?

The fabric on the Snickers ruff work pants is some of the thickest and heaviest canvas pants I've owned. I can't guarantee they won't rip with a good nail puncture with a lot force pulling the nail through the fabric. I think pretty much anything will rip with the right angle and force getting hooked on a nail. They're definitely going to hold up a lot more than some Carhartt's or Dickies. The thing I would consider is weather you need all those additional pockets for the work you do. If you don't need them they might just get in the way and is just more stuff that can get snagged on nails.

Dude, on the long side of the triangle you have the angle scale. So if your plan includes both different angles then you just mark those angles How hard is it to watch the damn video in which he even first shows the angle scale?
